Gold Mines allows players to get fabulously wealthy by accumulating gold bars. Splendid!
Whenever a player draws one of the gold tiles, they place a gold bar down on it and an adjacent tile. Once a feature is completed containing a gold bar, these are distributed amongst those involved in the scoring.
At the end of the game, each gold bar is worth 1-4 points depending on how many bars a player has collected. (Unfortunately, we can confirm these tokens are not made of real gold)
The mini expansion is brand new, unboxed and contains 8 landscape tiles with gold bar symbols and 16 gold bar tokens. The printed English rules are included. The newest Carcassonne artwork from 2022 is featured, playable with both the original and new versions of the base game.
