German Monasteries expands on the monasteries from the base game, allowing players to score points by using meeples as monks or abbots!
When placing a German Monastery, players can choose from two options. Firstly, they can place a meeple to act as a monk. Points are then scored later for the monastery itself and all adjacent tiles, up to a maximum of 9 points.
Secondly, players can choose to put a meeple on its side on a monastery, turning it into an abbot. At the end of the game, abbots score a point for the German Monastery and every tile leading away from it in a straight line, for a potentially large bonus!
The mini expansion is brand new and contains 6 beautiful landscape tiles featuring iconic monasteries in Germany: Andechs, Eberbach, Lorch, Maria Laach, Marienthal and Mailbronn.
The English and German rules are included inside the shrink wrapping. The newest 3.0 artwork is featured, playable with all versions of the base game.
